Mr. Young has more than 20 years of experience in corporate/community relations, fundraising and diversity and inclusion. In his current role, Greg is responsible for creating and growing a comprehensive fund to support the launch and ongoing operations of the high school located in the Fruitvale district of Oakland. Greg Young has also held a variety of sales and marketing roles at Bank of America, Wells Fargo, American Express and Procter & Gamble. In addition to his corporate background, Mr. Young has a passion for underserved communities. He has held leadership roles with non-profits including Executive Director of the Bay Area Leadership Foundation and Youth Experience Counselor with the Youth Employment Partnership. In addition to his service on the board of Juvenile Hall Auxiliary, Greg currently serves on the board of the Bay Area Development Company which provides SBA 504 financing to small businesses throughout California with a particular focus on businesses run by women, ethnic minorities, and veterans. Mr. Young received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College of California. |
Human Resource and Risk Manager
Cheryl Rhodes Alexander has been a member of the Juvenile Hall Auxiliary board since May 2015. Prior to joining the Board, Ms. Rhodes Alexander was a volunteer speaker at several Juvenile Hall Career Day events. In addition to serving as the Board Secretary, Ms. Rhodes Alexander is the co-chair on the Juvenile Hall Auxiliary Personnel Committee.Ms. Rhodes Alexander is committed to the Juvenile Hall Auxiliary mission and supporting youth in the juvenile justice system. Ms. Rhodes Alexander has an extensive human resources and management background, and currently serves as the Human Resources and Risk Manager for a California special district located in Contra Costa County. |

Elvin Baddley has spent the past 23 years working with community members throughout the Contra Costa County area as a member of the Contra Costa County Probation Department. Elvin is currently the Director of the John A. Davis Juvenile Hall in Martinez and serves on the Board of the Juvenile Hall Auxiliary. |
Barbara ScolesSubstitute Aide, Mt. McKinley
As head coach of highly competitive club and high school soccer teams, Barbara is deeply experienced with the challenges facing youth today. She brings a wealth of conflict resolution, fundraising, and heart to the board. |
Charles FrancisUS Director of Sales, Intelligent Cloud Solutions, Microsoft Corporation
Charles serves as the Board Treasurer and is the chairman of the JHA Fundraising Committee. He currently serves on the leadership team for Microsoft’s Blacks at Microsoft (BAM) employee resource group, he is a former Big Brother for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Oakland, a past member of the board of directors for Leadership Excellence, Center of Praise Ministries (Sacramento) and Ygnacio Valley Christian School (Concord). Charles is passionate about exposing teen and pre-teens to careers in technology that do not involve coding. |

AnaMarie has dedicated her life to helping the homeless. A former Housing Program Analyst for Housing Authority of Contra Costa County, she has won many awards and serves Governor Jerry Brown on the California Housing Finance Agency Board of Directors. |
Angela MooreConsultant
Angela Moore worked with the West Contra Costa County School District as a Human Resources Specialist and for the Center for Human Development (CHD). She worked as the Program Director focusing on services and programs for underprivileged and “at-risk” children, youth, young adults, adults, seniors, and families. She is a board certified trainer in Conflict Resolution, Anger Management, Tobacco and Marijuana Prevention, Group Process, and Tribes. She has received numerous awards for her tireless efforts and contributions to the community as a leader and organizer for several different community based projects focusing on outreach geared to youth and young adults. Currently, she works as consultant/contractor for non-profit organizations, private industry, and local government. She has a BA in Government and a Masters in Public Administration. |
