VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS
College Success Tutors Our newest program, College 4 All, takes high school graduates who have yet to complete their sentence and works ensures they leave Juvenile Hall signed up and ready for college. Meeting with tutors twice a week (Mondays and Thursdays, 1-3pm), our program teaches remedial math and English to ensure students enter college with the skills necessary for success instead of dropping out. We use an online program that assesses and assigns all the work. However, the students still need tutors to guide them through lessons and keep them motivated. This program is desperately in need of committed volunteers. If you have a time to volunteer for this position, we look forward to hearing from you. Thrift Store Volunteer Help raise money to support our programs by becoming a volunteer at the Hall Closet Thrift Store. Bedtime Reader Help incarcerated children fall asleep with restful thoughts by reading bedtime stories to them. Career Day Speak to incarcerated youth about your job and what they need to do if they are interested in pursuing a career in that field of work. |
Volunteer OpportunitiesAny person can be an influence in a child's life. Become a positive influence in the life of an at-risk youth by volunteering with the Juvenile Hall Auxiliary. The success of our programs would not be possible without the dedication and compassion of our wonderful volunteers. Feel free to fill out the volunteer form below for the position that interest you to receive more information.
